Why product manager?

I love exploring products. Any new product that falls on my radar that aims to solve a struggle I am trying to solve and some lights turn on in my brain enough to go check it out.

Turn-offs when using a product: If the product does not care enough about user's privacy.

I see myself as a feature-addict, (if such a word exists at all). A feature addict is someone who could be excited about the entirety of product just to satiate the curiosity around "a" (one, solo, ekam) certain feature that this product provides. The safari reader view, the simplicity of headspace meditation view, the minimalism of Tesla no-more-buttons-and-dials-anymore, the car-mode of audible. This one feature may not be enough to make the product stick, however it will evoke enough emotions for me to reach for and try it out.

I have been in the dev-land ever since high school, the good old days of C and C++. I have delivered on every expectation and commitment for last ~15 years. It has been the bread and butter. In my software consulting world this translates to always meeting deadlines, and not customer escalations ever.

Even so writing code does not excite me, not enough. Collaboration does, High pressure does not deter me, Creating value for the customer remains my focus and goal through thick and thin on the timeline, Usually not opinionated about general things in life, however, I do form opinions and get emotional about using products and in general appreciate customer-oriented products.

Strengths:

  • Not giving up, staying calm even at 11th hour.
  • Performing well under pressure
  • Stay focused on adding value to the customer forever and ever
